The M-D 02279 is a self-adhesive weatherstrip tape designed to seal gaps around doors and windows, preventing air leaks and moisture infiltration. Made from closed-cell polyvinyl chloride foam, this tape provides a durable, weather-resistant seal that reduces drafts and helps maintain consistent indoor temperatures.

This high-density foam tape conforms to uneven surfaces while maintaining flexibility, allowing it to fill irregular gaps without gaps of its own. The strong acrylic adhesive bonds instantly to metal, wood, plastic, and glass, eliminating the need for nails, screws, or additional fasteners. Its closed-cell construction resists water absorption and wear, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Features and Benefits

  • Closed-cell PVC foam: Resists wear and water absorption for durable weatherproofing.
  • Self-adhesive backing: Bonds instantly to common surfaces without fasteners, reducing installation time and complexity.
  • Versatile dimensions: The 1/2-inch width and 1/4-inch thickness accommodate both narrow gaps and broader joints.
  • 17-foot length: Provides ample material for sealing multiple doors, windows, or large areas with a single roll.
  • Reduces drafts: Minimizes air infiltration and indoor temperature fluctuations to help improve comfort.
